This is a series I created for my first silkscreen project. I was very much inspired by my children's literature class. I was thinking about the importance of reading and education, of discovery and imagination.
I love the scarves, and I really love the silkscreen images! I'd love to hear what else you're reading in your Children's Lit class (you mentioned The Hobbit, but what else?). Peace to you and Andrew.
these are beautiful, I especially adore the bee print. So lovely.
I'm really enjoying your blog. I just found out I got accepted into the textile arts program at Cap college and will be moving to Vancouver in August (I live in Ontario). I'm so excited! And to see your work, I can't wait!
Originally from Massachusetts, I am currently living on the west coast with my husband Andrew and a rabbit called Diggory. I am a second-year student of Textile Arts at Capilano College in North Vancouver.
